HPD decided that we would take up donations from the officers to buy Christmas presents for the kids staying at My Brothers House. Others heard and also got involved. The guys from the street department, the girls from city hall, wives, mothers and other friends and family of the officers and dispatchers all got involved. We took all the presents over for a pizza party and had a ball with the kids and their parents. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Class number 408 from the Department of Criminal Justice graduated today. Officer Jeff Owens graduated. Officer Owens served class 408 as Squad Leader and as Honor Code Officer. He also served on the flag detail. Good job Jeff!

HPD made an arrest in Cawood in connection to recent copper thefts. Officer George Young arrested Phillip Skidmore of Cranks after recieving a call from AT&T Security that the line had been cut and the location. Officer Young had been working an investigation with AT&T Security. Officer apprehended Skidmore as he was loading the copper into his truck. Officer Young was assisted by Officer Mike Cooper.
